Salvia Fundraising provides training to individual organisations and to groups of fundraisers. We are currently running the following training courses:

  • An Introduction to Fundraising focussing on the following: Overview of the charity and voluntary sector; Statutory funding; Raising funds from charitable trusts; Developing relationships and raising funds from companies; Getting the public on board; and Events – the good, the bad and the ugly

  • How to Raise Unrestricted Funds.  A one-day course focusing on why it is important that your charity has free money to use for projects or core costs.  The course looks at raising funds from the public, major wealthy donors, legacies, through events, from companies and even blowing the myth that charitable trusts only give to project based applications

  • Raising Funds and Developing Relationships with Companies. A one-day course focussing on the following: Introduction to the corporate fundraising sector; why companies give; how companies give; researching into companies; and developing relationships with companies

  • How to Construct a Fundraising Appeal. A one-day course incorporating an actual workshop in writing and constructing an appeal including: looking at successes and failures from other charities; good grammar – is it its or is it it’s; and how to get an appeal onto one page for trusts that require a short application
