Success Stories

Some of our recent assignments include:

  • Arun Neighbourhood Network (ANN) Partnership for Older People’s Projects.  This umbrella body has employed Salvia Fundraising to provide hands on advice to member groups, give training on fundraising and planning and mentor project staff in how to fundraise.  Member groups include Age Concern West Sussex, Angmering Community Centre, Bognor Shopmobility, Sammy Community Transport and Wick Information Centre.  Tara Gregory of Sammy Community Transport said "With help from Andrew, I have gained experience, ideas and confidence when identifying trusts and foundations and applying for funding on behalf of Sammy Community Transport Limited. When I took on my current role, I had limited fundraising knowledge and found Andrew to be very helpful, supportive, patient and extensively knowledgeable within his field of expertise and this shows in the amount of applications which have had a successful outcome. I would highly recommend the training sessions – they are a great opportunity for sharing thoughts and ideas with other fundraisers and I found I was not alone in the problems I had encountered. Thank you Andrew!"

  • Grace Eyre Foundation – We have been successful in securing over £66,000 for the Grace Eyre Foundation’s Travel Buddy Scheme.  The Foundation supports people with learning disabilities throughout Brighton and Sussex.  Eva Jarvis, Director, said “Grace Eyre has been able to secure funding for a very important project thanks to Salvia Fundraising that we otherwise would have had to close.  We are impressed with the results gained by Salvia Fundraising and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who is trying to secure funding in this very difficult environment.”

  • HOPE (Kent) Ltd – Salvia Fundraising was taken on to raise funds for a new Accommodation Aid and Advice Project. Kent Probation would give funding to the charity as long as they could find charitable donations to match their funding.  This is a challenging and difficult subject matter to raise funds for and there are only a few charitable trusts that give funding to offenders.  Five grant applications were made to major charitable trusts and four were successful raising a total of £75,000.  Jackie Milne, Chief executive of HOPE said “HOPE provides support services for ex-offenders, a group who are not usually attractive to donors, but Salvia has been very successful in finding us those who are sympathetic to our work. HOPE has recently been involved in trying to raise funds for an Accommodation Advice scheme for offenders and our approach to Salvia Fundraising has brought amazing results. We have secured over £75,000. These funds will enable the scheme to run for an additional year and help many more people with their accommodation problems.  This would not have been possible without the splendid work done by Salvia Fundraising.  I would have no hesitation in recommending Salvia to other groups.”

  • Heart of Kent Hospice – We were taken on to research and make applications for revenue funding to new charitable trusts funders.  Cath Cole one of our associate fundraisers was employed to run the fundraising assignment.  Jennie Hubbard, Fundraising and Marketing Director of The Heart of Kent Hospice said: “I was very pleased with Salvia’s professional and thorough approach when we employed them to do some trust fundraising for our hospice. In a relatively short time, they were able to put together some strong proposals for us, which have in turn brought in much-needed funds”.
